Defending champions Kenya Prisons men’s volleyball team will face off with Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) in one of the semi-finals of the the Kenya Volleyball Federation National League play-offs set to serve off this Friday at the Moi International Sports Centre indoor arena, Kasarani, Nairobi.
The other semi, final will pit former champions General Service Unit(GSU) against Kenya Defence Forces.
Prisons overpowered Administration Police of Kenya 3-0 in the quarter-finals of the best of Three Series last weekend at the same venue, while KPA reigned supreme against Trailblazers 3-1 on Monday.
KPA had fallen to Blazers 3-2 on Saturday in the first leg before, KPA returned the favour winning 3-0 in the return fixture on Sunday.
GSU defeated Equity Bank 3-1, while KDF laboured to beat Kenya Forest Service 3-2.
In the women’s category, reigning champions KCB Women’s Volleyball Team will take On Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), while rivalry will be renewed when former champions Kenya Pipeline and Kenya Prisons battle in the other semi.
KCB beat Kenya Army 3-0 in the last eight, while DCI overpowered Nairobi Prisons 3-1.
Kenya Pipeline saw off Post Bank 3-0 as Kenya Prisons beat Kenya Defence Forces 3-0.
The winners of the semi-finals in both categories will qualify for the finals set to get underway next Friday at the same venue.
Up for grabs after the completion of the finals are the two automatic tickets to the next year’s African Clubs Championship.
