After impressive individual performances during the u-21 Africa Youth World Cup netball qualifiers last March in Pretoria, Kenya’s Nahum Ogot, Miriam Wamani and Dorine Anyango have now been selected among 15 best players across Africa to be invited for the second edition of the Vhafuwi Netball Training Camp in South Africa at a date to be announced.

Revealing the information on Monday from it’s base, the city of Bloemfontein in Brandwag, Vhafuwi Sports Agency said that it has selected the top 15 players for a fully paid training camp in South Africa,

“We will also invite some of the top coaches and International Players to come share their skills and knowledge with these young ones. Last year’s camp featured only 15 top U-21 South Africans from across nine Provinces, but after watching the U-21 African Youth World Cup 2024, we are planning on hosting some of the very best talents in Africa, ” said a statement from the company’s social media Facebook page.

National u-21 captain Miriam Wamani who plays as a Center and Goal Defense Nahum Ogot, both 19 year olds who graduated last year from Bumala Secondary School before being romped in for Equity Netball Club by seasoned coach Everline Cherono, played for their lives in South Africa and have found favor in the eyes of the selectors to be among Africa’s top 15.

Former Kobala Secondary School graduate Dorine Anyango who just turned 20 years old is the other player among Africa’s best and the Goal Attack currently plies her trade with former national Netball league champions Ulinzi Swords.

The trio helped Kenya finish fifth out of the seven countries that were fighting to qualify for the World Youth Netball Cup slated for Gibraltar this August
