Kenya Commercial Bank ( KCB ) RFC are now top of Sportpesa Rugby Sevens National Circuit table after their exploits in winning the George Mwangi Kabeberi 7s in Nairobi last weekend.

The bankers top the summit with 22 points after four legs into the national circuit as two times finalist Menengai Oilers are second with 19 points, hard luck for the Gibson Weru led side who lost in Kisumu against Kabras in the finals of the Dala 7s and then in Nairobi against KCB in the Kabeberi.

Paul Murunga’s Kenya Harlequin have made history as the first club to make it in four consecutive Cup semifinals of the national circuit, winning the Ingoo 7s leg back in Kakamega and now they have 17 points at third place.

Varsity sides Catholic Monks and Strathmore Leos are fourth and fifth in that order with 15 and 13 points in that order as Dala 7s Champions Kabras come in sixth with 12 points.

Daystar Falcons are at position seven with ten points, the same points as Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology ( MMUST) who are a position below them as Kenyatta University Black Blad occupy the ninth place with eight points.

Kabeberi 7s Challenge Trophy winners Nondies are at position ten with seven points while Nakuru RFC and national circuit debutants Kabete Stallions who are continuing to enjoy Division 1 rugby both tie with five points a piece at position 11 and 12.

Relegation bound Kabeberi 7s hosts Mwamba RFC are 13th placed on the log with only three points and unless on invitation, they will play Divison 2 rugby in the next leg at Driftwood together with MKU Thika who have two points at 14th place, same points as Impala who made it at 15th position and Kisumu RFC at the bottom with only a point.
