Geoffrey Omondi has been unveiled as the new head coach for the Kenya Pipeline women’s volleyball team ahead of the new season of the Kenya Volleyball Federation National League set to serve off on October 31 at Kamukunji grounds, Nyeri County.
Omondi who was Wednesday morning unveiled at the Kenya Pipeline Company headquarters, Nairobi, crosses over from men’s side Trailblazers Volleyball Club which competes in the National League.
Omondi who is fresh from accompanying the under 18 boy’s volleyball team as the assistant coach during the African nations Junior Volleyball Championship in Tunisia joins former Kenyan International Esther Jepkosgei, Nicodemus Kiama and Eric Ogola on the Oilers technical bench.
Omondi a former Kenya men’s national team tactician has had stints with various men’s teams among them the defunct Cooperative Bank.
