After failing to win a match at the group stage of the African Nations Cadets Championship, Kenya men’s handball team will play Egypt in the quarterfinal match in Tunisia,today.
Kenya who were drawn in pool “B” failed to record a win against Morocco(27-25), Tunisia (16-44) and Libya(35-22).
The result saw the East Africans complete the pool win-less at the bottom, as Tunisia led the standing with six points unbeaten.
Morocco finished second with four points while Libya were third with two points from the same number of matches.
In pool ” A” Egypt led the standings with six points from three matches as Guinea, Algeria and Burundi finished second,third and fourth respectively with four and two points respectively, while Burundi were winless.
It’s going to be a tall order for the side coached by Gerald Juma if the performance of Egypt in the championship so far was anything to go by.
Tunisia will tackle Burundi, Morocco will battle Algeria while Libya take on Guinea in the other knock out stages.
