Following seven successful legs of impactful outreach, the Tujiamini Initiative by SportPesa came to a compelling conclusion in the Coast region with Kwale United not only securing a 1-0 victory in the final, but also leading the way in advocating for positive community transformation and securing a 250,000 Ksh sponsorship deal for the next three years.
Speaking on Saturday in Kwale, the winning coach Hamisi Masusa lauded the initiative for an impactful approach to the youth who are constantly bombarded with societal evils.
“The Tujiamini Initiative has made great strides to uplift the youth in the Coast region, especially in a community struggling with high levels of drug and substance abuse. Despite existing opportunities for development, such as playing fields, many young people are deep-rooted in addiction. The collaboration between SportPesa and DBA Africa to launch this initiative has been a game-changer, offering a positive alternative and presenting the transformative potential of engaging in healthy, constructive activities,” said Masusa.
In other results of the day, AIC Kongowea FC, maintained an upbeat spirit despite the loss, notably looking forward to the day when they emerge triumphant at the summit, to qualify fo the final, they sent Tiger FC back to the wild after a fierce encounter that left them with beads of sweat with a solitary win courtesy of Meshack Wambua in the dying minutes of the game.
