Sportpesa Chief Executive Officer ( CEO ) Captain Ronald Karauri spent his Christmas day with the children at Compassionate Hands for the Disabled home in Ruai Ward, Kasarani Constituency in Nairobi County.

Speaking after the event on Friday, an excited Karauri said that the 106 children at Compassionate home made him forget about his worries enjoying an unforgettable Christmas day with the future leaders of this country.

” I can’t describe my feelings well enough with words, it was beyond happiness and fulfilment of purpose. Seeing those children laugh, sharing childhood stories with them, playing and also sharing a meal was something out of this world for me and them, I really enjoyed my Christmas day,” a smiling Karauri said adding that 2025 will be a year that will see Sportpesa engage even more into Corporate Social Responsibility ( CSR ) activities in addition to what has been done and achieved in 2024.

The Compassionate Hands for the Disabled was founded in 2008 by Pastor Ann Njeri Wachira, serving as a shelter for education rehabilitation and medical support, now becoming a home for 106 children that are abled differently.

” It’s always a blessing having a guest like Karauri taking time off his busy schedule to come and spend Christmas with us here in Ruai, what a blessing this has been from the Sportpesa CEO,” said pastor Ann who added that most of her children come from the less fortunate and socio- economic challenged slums of Korogocho, Kariobangi,Kariadudu, Dandora, Mwiki and Mathare while some are referrals from abusive families and victims of Gender Based Violence ( GBV ) cases.

Pastor Ann houses 66 boys and 40 girls with the youngest being three years old, an incredible dedication that has been acknowledged by Sportpesa with deep appreciation that now aims to forge a partnership and embark on a journey to transform lives.
